Shedding Old Petals: Letting Go With Grace 🌹
Winter Healing Series | Episode Notes
Recap of Episode Two 📝✨↩️
Core Symbolism:
Roses shed their leaves to protect their core during winter.
In a world that is constantly changing, we must acknowledge the changes we face. Some shifts lead us to greatness, enlightening our confidence, visibility, and character. While other changes can hinder our growth, causing stagnation, confusion, and grief. As someone who has spoken openly about once feeling invisible—about having people I shared life with later say they “did not know me anymore”—those moments destroyed my faith, distorted my perception of self, and built a firewall around me that made me unrecognizable.
There is so much noise and commotion about the value of a man and woman, a woman’s place in business or marriage, that people are becoming confused about the difference between tradition and evolvement. We are not our past experiences, and they do not solely define us.
People come into our lives in seasons. And specifically in the winter season, a rose sheds its leaves—protecting its core, protecting its energy, protecting its peace. In this episode, I highlight recent conversations in the media, including Ayesha Curry’s “shocking” interview about her experience being married to an NBA icon, Melyssa Ford’s split from the Joe Budden Podcast, and more.
So while I hope you enjoy this episode, I leave you with a lesson and a reminder to let go with GRACE. Losing a person, place, or thing may have stunted your growth, but it does not define your growth—nor does it make you a loser. Instead, it makes you a connoisseur of making space for new growth.
Today’s Lesson:
Letting go isn’t about losing - it’s about making space for new growth.

Reflection
There is a tender grace in letting go. An unburdening of the heart that allows you to step fully into the present without dragging yesterday’s weight behind you. When you release your worries into GOD’s hands, you make room for peace, clarity, and divine support to carry you forward. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, often starting with your joy, your hope, and your focus. That’s why it’s so important to recognize when the weight you’re holding is no longer yours to manage. Casting your cares onto The Most High isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom. It’s the sacred moment you decide that your spirit deserves rest, your mind deserves relief, and your journey deserves space for something new, healed, and whole.
Affirmation: I release what no longer nourishes me. My letting go is my liberation. ✨
And Always Remember: When life gives you thorns, search for roses. 🌹
