Deep Root Work: The Invisible Season of Healing 🌹
Winter Healing Series | Episode Notes
Recap of Episode Three 📝✨↩️
Core Symbolism:
The rose redirects energy inward, strengthening it’s roots.
No one talks about the ugly side of healing. When you think of “deep root work,” you might imagine an aesthetic—burning candles, the usage of herbs, sage, incense, oils, crystals, and more. But what happens when you don’t have those things? When “the only tools you have are your hands, voice, and mind”? What happens when your words fall short, when you’ve grown weary in prayer, when your mind is so clouded that meditation becomes painful, and your body is so tired that you forget to pray at all?
You eventually face two things:
The will to give up and quit your soul’s discovery of self-preservation.
OR
The will to give in and surrender yourself to new discoveries of self—pushing past your own limitations.
I choose the latter.
As someone who once found peace in hiding, I faced deep difficulty disguising myself as someone I wasn’t. Growing up with a medical condition—vitiligo—something that shaped my appearance, taught me how to mask myself, how to hide behind my foundation, concealing my essence. All the things that made me stand out. I wanted to blend in. I wanted to hide my anointing, thinking that if I dimmed my light, life would be easier. But that’s not the case at all.
The Holy Spirit will lead you to incredible new heights if you have the faith to trust that “you are beautifully and wonderfully made.” Yet life still has a way of testing us, revealing our deepest, darkest moments and memories.
It took me a long time to realize that the world wasn’t being as harsh to me as I was to myself. It took even longer to understand that when I put in the deep root work—when I became intentional about talking to The Most High, expressing my truths, and setting my boundaries—those facades I was wearing slowly began to fall away.
After much research and reflection, I learned that “the root is THE FOUNDATION of your body, your temple, and your mind.” If you don’t take care of those things—if you don’t let your roots expand and grow—your life, your dreams, your faith will be cut short.
Deep Root Work: The Invisible Season of Healing is more than just healing. It is taking ownership of the pain and suffering that comes with transformation. It’s understanding that there is beauty in working toward a better version of you—even if your progress has to be silent, unseen, or invisible.
Honor it.
Today’s Lesson:
The most important healing, happens in silence, where no one can see.

Reflection
There is a sacred strength in allowing your roots to grow deep in GOD, anchoring your spirit in something unshakeable. When your foundation is rooted in divine truth, you give your heart, body, and mind the stability they need to heal, expand, and become free. Growth doesn’t happen on the surface—it begins in the unseen places, where faith is nurtured, character is shaped, and resilience is formed. As your roots deepen, you cultivate the strength to withstand life’s storms, the clarity to make aligned decisions, and the courage to become who you were always meant to be. When you root yourself in The Most High, you don’t just grow… you flourish.
Affirmation: I trust the work I’m doing within. Even in silence, I am growing. ✨
And Always Remember: When life gives you thorns, search for roses. 🌹
